III. Mentor a High School Student

Be a mentor FOR A DAY to a high school student from around the Bay Area. FREE breakfast, lunch and T-shirt for one day of volunteering.

The YWCA will pair you up with a high school student, and we will need 300 mentors for this one day commitment. Show them around the campus and your classes and inspire them to pursue higher education! The high school students come from high schools around the east bay and are targeted to this program because they or their schools don't have to resources to provide a lot of the college information that we can. Your advice and inspiration will be greatly appreciated!

Find the YWCA on Facebook here!

Applications DUE: No later than Friday March 18th by 5PM

IV. Empowering Women of Color Conference

The Empowering Women Of Color Conference (EWOCC), is hosted by the UC Berkeley Women of Color Initiative and the Graduate Assembly. This year, our conference falls on Saturday April 9th, and our theme is #DecolonizingFeminism. EWOCC will be a day full of powerful workshops, engaging performances, and inspiring performances by women of color from our communities. Check out our facebook event!

Interested in volunteering? Apply here

Interested in attending the conference? Register here!
V. The Queer & Trans People of Color Conference
The Queer and/or Trans People of Color Conference, formerly known as the Queer People of Color Conference, was first hosted at UC Berkeley by folks who believed that the struggles and voices of Queer and/or Trans People of Color (QTPOC) needed to be shared in a safe and loving space. Similarly, we hope to create a space where Queer and Trans communities of color are able to share knowledge, engage in critical dialogue, and celebrate our lived experiences. Join us!

VI. Give Feedback to Personalize the RISE Undocumented Student Resource Guide

The Asian Pacific American Student Development (APASD) group at Cal is hoping to publish a resource page more tailored to the needs of undocumented Asian and Pacific Islander, Pilipinx, and South Asian, Southwest Asian, and North African (AAPI/PIL/SSWANA) students to include in the existing RISE Undocumented Student Resource Guide.

In order to help personalize this resource page as much as possible, students can now give direct feedback on what has helped them succeed at Cal and what areas they feel they could use more support in by filling out the anonymous survey
