Hi everyone,

Hope your summer is going fine. Please run to be a Board Director / Board Representative if your co-op has not already elected one! Terms start fully in Fall 2022 but you can start doing work to serve your co-op community now during the summer. The commitment is 5-10 hrs/week compensated at $19/hour during the Academic Year with many opportunities to work longer hours. You don't need to have that much qualifications or experience, we just need bright, passionate, opinionated, and creative leaders to be part of the Board. Whether you have experience in writing policy, organizing your community, lobbying government, organizational changemaking or not, we want you! Feel free to ask Board and Executive Assistant Zoe Wan,, or the BSC President at if you are interested in running.

On the week of June 20, the Board of Directors will be holding general training along with elections for leadership positions in the Summer Committee and the Executive Committee and we want every section of the co-op to be represented. Please message your House President and Zoe Wan ( about running for Board and get elected before June 17 so you can run in leadership elections of the Board. If you have already been elected, look out for follow-up email communication from Zoe Wan and the President.

Even if you can't run for Board, every member is empowered to ask questions to their Board Rep and have their voice heard. If you have any questions about exercising your member rights, don't hesitate to reach out to the President.
